Donald Trump calls Putin ‘genius’ after 10,000 Russian troops invade Ukraine
The Metro says One-term president Donald Trump has hit out at Joe Biden saying Russia’s invasion of Ukraine would not have happened on his watch.
Meanwhile he described Vladimir Putin’s moves as genius and savvy after the Russian president sent 10,000 troops over the border into Ukraine.
He said: ‘I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, “This is genius.” Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine – of Ukraine. Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful,’ Trump said.
‘So, Putin is now saying, “It’s independent”, a large section of Ukraine. I said, “How smart is that?” And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper.
