The Daily Mirror says Princes William and Harry “savaged” the BBC over its interview with their mother. The front page carries a picture of William and Harry as young children, cuddling their mother, the paper calls it “happy times.”
The BBC and Martin Bashir have apologised. Bashir said he remained “immensely proud” of the interview and that the faked bank statements had no bearing on Diana’s choice to take part in the interview.

The Mirror Online reports Prince Harry opened up to Oprah about heartbreaking memories of his mum.
Speaking on the Apple TV documentary The Me You Can’t See – Harry revealed his trauma of losing his mother, Princess Diana.
He says he feared losing wife Meghan too and was one of the main reasons for quitting royal duties.
“My mother was chased to her death when she was in a relationship with someone who wasn’t white, and now look what’s happened,” he told Oprah.
More than 3,400 cases of Indian variant confirmed in UK – a 15% rise in a day
The Mirror online reports more than 3,400 cases of the Indian variant of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the UK – an increase of 15% in just one day.
Yesterday, Matt Hancock said the figure stood at 2,967.
A total of 3,424 cases of the Indian variant of coronavirus B1.617.2 have now been confirmed in the UK, Public Health England said.
Naomi Campbell expected to return to work in weeks after becoming a mum at 50
The Mirror Online says Naomi Campbell is expected to return to work shortly, after becoming a new mum aged 50.
The supermodel has a string of projects in the pipeline and sources say she is likely to be back within “two to three weeks” with her baby girl in tow.
One added: “She’s an incredibly hard working person who won’t want to completely take her foot off the pedal.”
