Covid: 55,000 clinically extremely vulnerable children told to stop shielding and go back to school
The i says the parents of more than 55,000 children previously on the Government’s shielding list have been informed they will no longer be classified as clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) and should return to school.
The families of all CEV children in England and Wales have been sent a letter from Dr Jenny Harries, chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), informing them that their children should now “continue to follow the same guidance as everyone else”.
