50 Cent did not ‘intentionally’ hit a fan with a microphone, his lawyer has said.

The Candy Shop rapper, 48, is facing battery charges after he allegedly hurled his microphone into a crowd while performing in Los Angeles.

Videos circulating on social media appear to show the star – real name Curtis Jackson – twice hurling his microphone into the crowd from the stage, apparently frustrated by technical issues affecting the sound.

A woman has now reportedly filed a complaint claiming she was left with facial injuries over his actions.

Jackson’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, has now insisted that Jackson would never ‘intentionally’ hit anyone.

He told PA news agency: ‘Let’s be very clear, as I told (the) LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone.

‘Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.’

It comes after reports from TMZ that a woman was hit in the face when Jackson threw the mic into the crowd and was left with ‘lacerations’ on her forehead, being taken to hospital over the injury.

She allegedly filed a police report after the incident, naming the musician in the paperwork.

The incident comes after a similar situation with rapper Cardi B, who threw her microphone into a crowd after a concert-goer threw beer at her.

She was named in a battery case after a person was reported injured by her throwing the microphone.

However police in Las Vegas dropped the criminal battery investigation against her.
