Chelsea have ramped up their summer recruitment drive by confirming two more signings.
The west London club’s immediate focus during the early stages of the transfer window has been on trimming the squad which Mauricio Pochettino is set to inherit from Frank Lampard.
Already, the Blues have found buyers in Saudi Arabia for Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante, while Hakim Ziyech’s move has been held up after issues emerged during his medical.
Kai Havertz, meanwhile, has joined Arsenal in a £70million move, while Mason Mount is closing in on his much anticipated transfer to Manchester United.
Mount’s fellow academy graduate Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set to join AC Milan and club legend Cesar Azpilicueta has accepted the offer of a two-year contract at Atletico Madrid.

Christian Pulisic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Romelu Lukaku are also all set to depart on permanent basis which will allow Chelsea room to regenerate their squad.
Nicolas Jackson’s arrival from Villarreal was confirmed on Friday evening and two more youngsters have been announced as Chelsea players on Saturday in Diego Moreira and Alex Matos.
Moreira, 18, joined Benfica from Standard Liege in 2020 and was part of the side which won the 2022 UEFA Youth League.

Having made his senior debut in May 2022, Moreira featured regularly for Benfica B last season.
The teenage winger is part of Portugal’s squad at the European Under-21 Championship, where they will face England in the quarter-finals on Sunday.
Matos, 18, meanwhile, is yet to make his senior debut but featured regularly for Norwich’s youth teams last season.
