There is bad news aplenty for the residents of soapland this week, with upsetting developments all across the board leaving some with huge decisions to make and others forced into dangerous situations.

EastEnders picks up from where it left off with the kidnap storyline, with Keanu Taylor descending to new lows that put mum Karen in serious danger of being caught out.

Coronation Street, meanwhile, sees Carla Connor return to the cobbles with bad news, and there is more to come as she makes a huge revelation to the factory employees.

Over in Emmerdale, Lydia Dingle makes a big decision following the murder of Craig Reed, while Hollyoaks sees Mercedes McQueen and Warren Fox going around in circles, with passion on the cards once more.

And as for Neighbours, well things get really interesting this week, ahead of the game-changing flashback episodes next week.

Lets get down to business with an in-depth look at what soapland is serving up for us between Monday November 6 and Friday November 10.

Keanu descends into villainy in EastEnders as kidnap plot takes another vile turn

Phil comes to Sharon’s aid – but Keanu is in way over his head (Picture: BBC / Jack Barnes / Kieron McCarron)

Albie is still missing and the residents of Walford join the search, while Sharon confides in Phil about the £50,000 ransom note, with the hardman agreeing to give her the cash.

Phil insists on doing the money drop himself while Karen urges Sharon to let her do it, with Sharon subsequently agreeing to the latter option.

Karen meets with Kandice’s husband Malcolm to retrieve Albie, attempting to act normal for fear she’ll blow her cover. But will Karen and Keanu get away with their crime?

Or is it prison for the pair?

A huge return rocks Neighbours as Toadie’s world is turned upside down

Ever since Neighbours returned to screens, fans have desperate for answers in regards to what went down during the show’s time off air.

The blanks, however, will be filled in in upcoming scenes with a huge flashback week on the cards and, ahead of that, Ramsay Street is rocked by the return of a familiar face, with Toadie left speechless.

Trust us, you don’t want to miss this.

Paul receives devastating news in Coronation Street

Paul attends his speech therapy session while Billy has a meeting with the bishop, hoping to get his job back. The bishop lifts his suspension, much to Billy’s glee, but there’s heartbreak to come, with Paul being told by the MND nurse that he only has 6 to 12 months to live.

Lydia makes a big decision in Emmerdale

Sam fears he’s lost Lydia (Picture: ITV)

The police continue to investigate in the aftermath of Craig’s death. Lydia, meanwhile, resolves to move out as she goes to stay with Kim, leaving Sam worried that he’s lost her for good.

With Sonia having put the idea in his head, Rocky suggests to Harvey that he burn down the cafe and claim on the insurance.

With Kathy awaiting his arrival for a romantic dinner, Rocky sets fire to the cafe following another spell of dodgy electrics. While out and about, Bobby spots the blaze at the cafe and attempts to extinguish it, but it explodes and knocks him unconscious, trapping him inside.

Carla returns with bad news in Coronation Street

Is this really the end for Underworld? (Picture: ITV)

Carla returns from a fruitless business trip to find Michael back at the factory, with Sarah sticking to her guns on the matter. There’s more horror ahead, however, as they’ve no way of paying the staff thanks to Stephen – unless they can complete the new client order by tomorrow.

Carla lies to the staff, assuring them they’ll all be paid, but when they uncover the truth they down their tools. Carla and Sarah make it quite clear that, if they don’t help, the factory is finished.

Bernice’s mysterious behaviour sets tongues wagging in Emmerdale

Mercedes pleads with Warren to spend more time with Felix but, riddled with guilt, he refuses. With things spiralling out of control, Mercedes decides to drive to Plymouth to visit Bobby, with Warren offering to take her.

Cindy and Ian reluctantly make plans on the renovation of their new shop ‘Beale’s Eels’, but the Knights are appalled at them for their new business plans. This shock likely stems from the fact that Cindy’s silent partner is none other than Dean Wicks, who staged a comeback last week.
