WWE superstar Liv Morgan thinks MJF will make the ‘best decision’ for himself when his AEW contract expires in 2024.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion – who lost her treasured prize to Ronda Rousey at Extreme Rules over the weekend – recently made waves on Twitter when she and Maxwell Jacob Friedman posed for a picture together at Skylar Astin’s birthday party.
Asked about how the picture – which both shares shared on social media with each other’s catchphrases – came together, she exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘Aha! So, I went to my friend Skylar’s birthday party and he was just there!
‘I had never met him before that. We had great, great, great, great banter. We have a lot in common actually!’
There is a lot of talk at the moment about where MJF will ply his craft in 2024, and he has repeatedly played up the idea of him jumping ship to WWE if they offer him a better deal than Tony Khan’s promotion.
‘When 2024 comes, I think only he can know or decide what is best,’ Liv added. ‘I think whatever he wants to do is gonna be the best decision for him. Wherever he goes, I’m just he’ll be a star.’
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old wrestler was also understandably coy about an upcoming major acting role she first told Metro.co.uk about last month in Cardiff, Wales one day before Clash At The Castle.
‘Ha! Yeah, but I still can’t,’ she laughed when asked for an update on the mystery project. ‘We’re closer but I still can’t say anything! We’re so close! I’m dying to say something!’

Speaking in Cardiff, she previously teased: ‘I have a special surprise coming up as far as acting that I cannot say anything about. I cannot give a clue without it being very obvious.
‘But there is some news coming out very, very, very soon that is a literal dream come true! I’m sure if you think about it hard enough, you can figure it out.’
Fans will have to wait and see, while Liv’s reaction to her loss at Extreme Rules – when she laughed and flashed a smile as she passed out in a submission hold – has also prompted speculation of a major character change, potentially getting involved with the returning Bray Wyatt.
Time will tell – watch her!
WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
