WWE announces ‘unprecedented’ shows bringing WrestleMania fever to UK

WWE is bringing WrestleMania fever to the UK and Europe with a string of huge shows.

For the first time ever, Raw and SmackDown will take place across different cities in the UK and Europe over three consecutive weeks in March 2025.

For fans in the UK, Raw is coming to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on March 24, with SmackDown heading to the O2 Arena in london on March 28.

Three days later, Raw takes over the O2 as part of what WWE has described as an ‘unprecedented’ run on the Road to WrestleMania Tour.

It’s been a long time since the company filmed either of its flagship shows over here, although the success of recent events like Clash At The Castle, Money In The Bank and Backlash France has caused a shift.

It now means three weeks of WWE’s build to WrestleMania – traditionally one of the most exciting times to be a fan – will take place across the UK and Europe.

The tour kicks off with SmackDown at Barcelona’s Olimpic Arena on March 14, followed by German dates in Dortmund and Hannover.

On March 17, Raw hails from the Forest National arena in Brussels, Belgium, before SmackDown arrives at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy on March 21.

The Road to WrestleMania tour will then roll into Belfast and Nottingham on March 22 and 23, before the Glasgow Raw and London SmackDown tapings.

WWE will return to Vienna and Amsterdam on March 29 and 30, before the run ends back at the O2 for Raw.

Although it’s not a WrestleMania itself, there have been rumours rumbling for over a year since John Cena’s tease at Money The Bank, and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan mentioned the possibility in his successful campaign for reelection.

Over summer, the mayor met with WWE’s creative chief Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and company president Nick Kham at London’s City Hall to open talks about bringing the extravaganza to the capital.

He said at the time: ‘It’s exciting to be working with the WWE team. The meeting was really productive, and talks will continue about how we could turn our ambition into a reality.’
