Ahmaud Arbery’s mum breaks down as she watches video of son’s murder for the first time
The Daily Mirror says The mother of a 25-year-old black man allegedly murdered by an all-white trio broke into tears as she watched the full video of the attack for the first time.
On the first day of the trial of three men accused of killing Ahmaud Arbery, 25, his mum Wanda Cooper-Jones wept as footage was shown of the moment he was fatally shot in Brunswick, Georgia, US.
While Mr Arbery’s dad reportedly left the courtroom as the harrowing video was played, Ms Cooper-Jones decided to stay “to get familiar with what happened to Ahmaud” when he was chased down in February 2020, the BBC reports.
