Prince William and Kate on royal tour: But should they stay at home?

Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge have kicked off their Commonwealth tour in Belize. The Duke and Duchess are due to visit Jamaica and the Bahamas as part of their eight-day tour but not everyone is happy about it.

Before setting off, the royal couple were forced to ditch a planned visit to a farm amid protests from locals. And there are more protests reportedly planned – whilst William and Kate have been welcomed by most on the tour so far, there is as usual, some protest to their arrival. Is it time for Britain’s royals to stay at home?

Depending on which paper you read, you’ll get a fairly different idea of how William and Kate are being met abroad. Some papers would have you believe everything is okay and the locals are overjoyed at the royal arrival, other papers’ are reporting on the issue as if it is the first time members of the royal family have been met with protests.
