Holly Willoughby has returned to This Morning this week following Phillip Schofield’s exit.

Phillip, 61, stepped down from his role on the daytime show on Saturday, May 20 after rumours of a rift with his co-star emerged.

However, he quit ITV altogether shortly after as it was revealed he had had an affair with a younger colleague.

Following the exit of her co-star of more than 14 years, Holly, 42, took a short break with her family before returning to the show on Monday and addressing Phillip’s exit.

It has been confirmed that she will be joined by interim stars before a replacement for Phillip is found – but who are they?

This is what you need to know.

Who is presenting This Morning today, June 7?

After former Big Brother contestant Josie Gibson joined Holly on the This Morning sofa yesterday and Monday, a new host will be taking the helm.

Irish television presenter Craig Doyle will co-host today and tomorrow alongside Willoughby following Schofield’s exit.

It’s not the first time Craig, 51, has taken on presenting duties, as many may recognise him from his stint as the face of the show alongside Josie, 38, last summer when Holly and Phil were on summer break.

The Dublin-born host is best known for a range of work on channels including BBC, ITV, BT Sport, and Irish network RTÉ.

Those in Ireland might remember Craig from his 2010 chat show on RTÉ One, Tonight with Craig Doyle, and RTÉ Two’s Craig Doyle Live, which ran from 2011 to 2013.

Since 2021, he has regularly presented competition slots on This Morning, later joining Alison Hammond as a co-host the following year for a short stint.

ITV confirmed previously that Holly will continue to present the show amid speculation she may choose to leave.

She will be joined by ‘members of the This Morning family’ as co-presenters while a permanent co-host is found.
