British singer Matty Healy is the news again, amid new reports of an alleged romance with Taylor Swift.
Taylor, 33, is currently on the road in the US with her Eras tour, but the pair are said to be ‘madly in love’ – following her recently reported break-up with British actor Joe Alwyn.
So, who is just who is her potential new love Matty Healy, and where might you know him from?

Who is Matty Healy and who are his parents?
Matty Healy is a 34-year-old British singer-songwriter, best known as the frontman of pop rock band The 1975.
He’s also the son of Loose Women star Denise Welch and actor Tim Healy.

He was born in April 1989 in London, and raised in Newcastle and Cheshire.
It was in Cheshire that The 1975 formed around 2002 – with members George Daniel, Adam Hann, and Ross MacDonald.
Their debut album, also called The 1975, was a hit in 2013 – producing singles including Sex, Girls, and Settle Down.
The 1975 have since released four studio albums: I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It (2016), A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships (2018), Notes on a Conditional Form (2020), and Being Funny in a Foreign Language (2022).
All five albums achieved great success in the UK, reaching number one in the UK Album Chart.

Matty and his bandmates are also four-time Brit Award winners and have been nominated for two Grammy Awards.
Notable singles include Chocolate, Love It If We Made It, Robbers, The Sound and Somebody Else.
Matty is also well known for his slightly odd on-stage behaviour – including once sucking a fan’s thumb, kissing fans, and appearing to eat raw meat mid-concert.
He also recently hit headlines for controversial comments made about rapper Ice Spice – which he later offered an apology for – and for labelling Harry Styles a ‘queerbaiter’.
Is he dating Taylor Swift?
According to The Scottish Sun, a source alleges Taylor and Matty are ‘madly in love’ despite things being ‘early days’.
The source claimed: ‘Taylor just wants to live her life, and be happy. She’s told pals Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour…

‘They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship.’
The pair have known each other for several years, reportedly first meeting in 2014.
In January this year, Taylor joined The 1975 for the first night of the band’s tour in London.
Matty reportedly referred to her as the ‘Queen’, and she later took a photo with Matty’s mum Denise.
Previously, Taylor was dating Conversations With Friends actor Joe Alwyn. Their six-year relationship was largely kept out of the public eye – but news of a split was reported earlier this year.
