Captain Sir Tom Moore’s family face a grilling from Piers Morgan (Picture: TalkTV)
Captain Tom Moore’s family has confessed in a TV interview to taking money from the NHS fund-raising veteran – from three books he had written.
A clip released from the interview, sees daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore tell Piers Morgan, that Sir Tom wanted them to keep the book profits – totalling £800,000 – which went through Club Nook Ltd, a company owned by the family.
She appeared emotional as she told him: ‘These were my father’s books, and it was honestly such a joy for him to write them, but they were his books.
‘He had an agent and they worked on that deal, and his wishes were that that money would sit in Club Nook, and in the end . . . ’
Mr Morgan then interjected ‘For you to keep?’, and she replied ‘Yes.’
The family is set to face a further grilling from TalkTV’s Piers Morgan over accusations that they used a charity set up in the late veteran’s name to build a spa and pool room in their garden.
The preview clip released sees them admitting to having received death threats – while they also face questions from Morgan over the spa and pool room, as well as a charity event Mrs Ingram-Moore was paid £18,000 to attend.
