Your half-birthday is literally the midway point in the year from one birthday to the next.
Half-birthdays are important because they mark the date of your half-solar return. This means that the sun will be in the sign opposite of your own on the Zodiac Wheel on that day.
The opposite signs are as follows: Aries and Libra, Taurus and Scorpio, Gemini and Sagittarius, Cancer and Capricorn, Leo and Aquarius, Virgo and Pisces.
From an energy and mood point of view, your solar opposite sign is literally that. Your opposite sign has what you lack and vice versa (it’s often why we are so strangely but compellingly drawn to our opposite sign). Engaging with your opposite sign’s traits and strengths and trying to adopt and amplify them yourself can be a great means of helping us create more balance and harmony in our lives.
Your half-year birthday is also a great time to reflect on the ‘story so far’ of your year, what you’re achieving and celebrating, what you’re struggling on and still hoping to fulfil, what you’re leaving behind and releasing to the past. We all change so much in a year. It’s a good idea to pause, reflect, and maybe adjust your goals and plans for the coming six months.
The below advises a key theme for reflection and meditation for each sign’s half-year birthday.
Aries – your opposite sign is Libra
Reflect and meditate on the theme of justice, fairness, and balance in your life.
Are you being treated fairly and, if not, what steps can you take to tackle this? Are you balanced and fair with others? Be honest. If not, then change.
