West Ham fans clashed with riot police in Prague during celebrations after winning the Europa Conference League last night.
Footage shared on social media showed football supporters spilling out onto the streets of the Czech capital following the Hammers’ victory over Fiorentina, and setting off flares.
The final also had to be temporarily halted after the Fiorentina captain was stuck by objects thrown by West Ham supporters.
In the late hours, a scuffle broke out after police officers tried to confiscate a flare as fans gathered in the Old Town area of the city.
A second flare was then lit in response, with fans pelting the officers with bottles and missiles.
Witnesses said it all got ‘a bit too much’ for the police, who were outnumbered by fans.
Pictures show the officers forming a circle to better defend themselves against the hooligans.
