Adele Roberts was over the moon after breaking a world record for her London Marathon run on Sunday.
The 44-year-old television presenter took part in the iconic race with her stoma bag – who she has nicknamed Audrey – ten months after getting the all-clear from bowel cancer.
Breaking the news to her on live TV, BBC presenter Gaby Logan revealed Adele completed the run in 3 hours, 30 minutes and 22 seconds.
The star responded with a huge smile and joked: ‘I can retire now, I’m finished!
‘In training I only went 21 miles so I didn’t know if I could finish it with the stoma. I’m over the moon.’
She was first diagnosed with stage two bowel cancer in October 2021 and was told she had the all-clear from doctors last June.

Taking to social media, Adele updated fans on her post-race antics and paid tribute to her stoma that carried her through the monumental task.
In her video she was dressed in her marathon running clothes and excitedly showed off her official medal while presenting Audrey the stoma bag with her very own.
She said: ‘We did it! We finished!
‘Audrey needs a medal, have you got it?’
Adele was in her hotel room with her partner Katie Holderness while she filmed the footage and gestured to her other half to find the medal for her special stoma bag.

Leaning back on the bed, Adele captured the moment Katie pulled a tiny piece of silverware out of a bag and offered congratulations to Audrey for her achievement and ‘being the fastest stoma in the world’.
‘Do you think Audrey is the fastest stoma dressed as a human?’, the TV host joked to her partner and the camera.
Adele continued: ‘Thank you so much to everybody who was actually in the race – there was so many lovely people on the course – and then also everybody who came out to cheer even though it was raining.

‘It was just incredible and do you know it was almost like serendipitous that when I was finishing the final song that was playing was Whitney Houston’s One Monent in Time and I was like crying my eyes out as I finished’.
Katie then held up a picture of Adele receiving a Guinness World Record plaque for her time achieved and completing the marathon with a stoma bag.
