Loads of changes could be on the horizon (pic: Activision)
A Warzone 2 leak has come out a few hours ahead of season 4’s launch revealing changes to player health and the removal of artificial intelligence bots.
Season 4 is about to drop across both Call of Duty sequels, bringing a brand-new Resurgence map and introducing a mysterious BlackCell operator into the mix.
Ever since its November 2022 release, Warzone 2 has been dubbed as a bit of a letdown when compared to the original, leaving players critical of recent gameplay tweaks.
However, a new leak now suggests some radical shake-ups are on the horizon for the popular battle royale, aiming to entice players back into the action.
Among the biggest changes in season 4 are a health bump and the complete removal of AI bots, a move made alongside some stronghold adjustments.
In this update, strongholds – the AI-controlled hotspots packed with valuable loot – will now kick into action during infiltrations, both in the battle royale and DMZ modes.
Moreover, enemy players will have visibility on the UAV radius and the ability to reclaim captured strongholds, which could add a new layer of difficulty.
Last but not least, inactive strongholds featuring white supply boxes will be conveniently highlighted on the TacMap, as reported by leaks website Insider Gaming.
The leak also reveals that player health will be hiked up from 100 to 150, bringing maximum health up to 300 for fully armoured players.
The rejoin option might also be arriving in season 4, allowing players to quickly reconnect to a match in the event of server issues or a slow internet connection.
As with any leaks, it’s important to maintain a healthy dose of scepticism since the mentioned changes could potentially be discarded and never make it into the game.
The highly anticipated season 4 update is scheduled to go live at 5pm BST across both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
