Ulrika Jonsson has offered up some advice for Amy Nuttall after it was reported the actress has given her husband Andrew Buchan seven strict rules to follow after he allegedly cheated on her with a co-star.
In February, reports emerged that Broadchurch star Andrew, 44, had left his wife, 41, for his Better co-star Leila Farzad, 39, while they were filming the BBC thriller series.
Emmerdale star Amy has now reportedly taken him back, but he must allegedly follow a strict set of rules that include weekly date nights and full access to each other’s phones – also known as the 777 approach.
However, writing in her column this week, 55-year-old Ulrika said: ‘You might as well slap a tag on his ankle,’ before explaining that cheating on her first husband, John Turnbull, was ‘the dumbest, most selfish’ decision she has ever made.
‘It was just an action of immaturity and greed,’ Ulrika – who shares son Cameron with her ex-husband – continued in the Sun.

As for the 777 approach, which the outlet says entails going on a date every week, going away for the night every seven weeks and holidaying as a couple every seven months, Ulrika expressed skepticism.
She continued: ‘I don’t think I’d be able to escape the feeling that in your situation, Amy, where someone has betrayed your trust, you’re effectively forcing someone to adhere to such a formal system.’
What rules has Amy allegedly asked Andrew to follow?
Amy and Andrew are said to be following the 777 approach, which meansgoing on a date every week, going away for the night every seven weeks and holidaying as a couple every seven months.
He is also said to be banned from contacting his former co-star, Leila Farzad.
Amy and Andrew must also have full access to each other’s phones at all times.
If Andrew is working away, he must check in with Amy via FaceTime.
After the alleged cheating rumours hit the headlines, it was reported that Andrew and Leila were ‘living together’, much to the ‘shock’ of those around him.
Amy shares two children with Andrew, while Leila has a daughter with her husband.
Amy is best known for playing Chloe Atkinson on Emmerdale from 2000 until 2005 and then going on to play housemaid Ethel Parks in period drama Downton Abbey.
