UK Government says it’s ‘highly likely’ Iran is to blame for oil tanker attack
The i says the UK Government has accused Iran of carrying out a drone attack on an oil tanker in the Middle East which left a Briton dead.
It says it believed it is “highly likely” Iran carried out an “unlawful and callous attack” on the Israeli owned Mercer Street tanker, off the coast of Oman on Thursday night.
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab says he believes the drone attack on the tanker was “deliberate, targeted, and a clear violation of international law by Iran”.
