Neymar out injured but Lionel Messi fit for Argentina vs Brazil World Cup qualifier
The Metro says Paris Saint-Germain teammates Neymar and Lionel Messi will not be lining up on opposite sides on Tuesday night, with the Brazilian missing the World Cup qualifier with Argentina through injury.
Brazil have already secured their place at the Qatar World Cup by beating Colombia 1-0 last week, so Neymar will not be risked in the glamorous contest in San Juan on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old is struggling with a thigh problem and the Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed that he has been ruled out of the Argentina clash.
‘After the activities held on Palmeiras’ Football Academy on this Monday morning, Neymar complained about feeling pain in his left thigh,’ read a statement.
