Met Office predicts when 30C summer heatwave will end as thunderstorms and rain to lash UK
The Daily Mirror says this week’s ‘heatwave’ bringing scorching highs of just 30C will soon be a mere memory for most of the UK as the wet weather returns with a vengeance.
Hopes the beach temperatures would linger into the weekend have been dashed by storm forecasts predicting days of downpours for some parts of the UK.
While much of the country will remain dry from Wednesday, a band of rainstorms washing in from the southwestern coastlines will track their way up the country and begin unleashing the potential for floods, travel chaos, and lightning strikes by Thursday.
