    Two children stabbed to death

A one-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy have been stabbed to death at a house in east London.

The one-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene on Aldborough Road North in Ilford. The boy was rushed to hospital but died later.

A 40-year-old man was also taken to hospital for treatment after suffering knife injuries. According to the Met Police, the three are known to each other.

The Metropolitan Police responded to the incident on Sunday evening and have now launched a murder investigation. But officers are not searching for anyone in connection with the incident.

Redbridge Council leader Jas Athwal tweeted his condolences to the families and wider community affected by the incident.
