Red list ‘to be halved’ and Turkey holidays could return in travel announcement today
The Metro says a huge shake-up to how international travel will work as the coronavirus crisis continues is expected to be announced later today.
Among the measures thought to be revealed will see double-jabbed people no longer made to take expensive PCR tests on their return, instead replacing the requirement with cheaper lateral flow tests.
It is believed the red list will be cut down by half and holiday hotspot Turkey is tipped to be taken off the list, according to MailOnline.
The controversial traffic light system is also set to be scrapped and replaced with simpler ‘go’ and ‘no go’ rules.
