Tucker Carlson to interview Russia’s Putin
Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News host, plans to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin soon in Moscow.
In a video on X, previously Twitter, Carlson said he wanted to do the interview so Americans could learn more about the war they’re involved in.
This would be Putin’s first one-on-one interview with a Western journalist since he invaded Ukraine in 2022.
The Kremlin hasn’t commented yet but Russian state media is covering Carlson’s visit extensively.
“There are risks to doing an interview like this, obviously, so we’ve thought about it over many months,” Carlson said on his announcement video.

Carlson accused Western journalists of conducting biased interviews with Ukraine’s President Zelensky – whom he has previously called a “dictator” – many times.
He pointed out that no Western journalist has interviewed Putin. But they are “fawning pep sessions” aimed at amplifying Zelensky’s demand to get the US more involved in the war, Carlson insisted.
“That is not journalism – it is government propaganda.”
Meanwhile, “not a single Western journalist has bothered to interview” Vladimir Putin, Carlson said.
