‘Trump appoints his cabinet’
The US front pages continue to be dominated by American politics as the country prepares for Donald Trump to return to office in January. Trump has been busy making high-profile Cabinet appointments as the GOP looks on course to take control of both chambers of Congress.
Beyond politics in Washington, the papers report on local state news.
‘Fed boss ready to fight Trump attempts to oust him,’ reports The Wall Street Journal.
The Wall Street Journal’s front page has a handful of political stories including a report on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell – who says he will fight any attempt from Donald Trump to oust him from his role.

A second political story reports Trump has picked a ‘pugnacious immigration hardliner’ in Tom Homan, who will oversee Trump’s mass deportation plans.

The Washington Post says ‘despair, anger, relief, elation’ – How women say they are feeling after Donald Trump won another term in office.
‘Trump preparing the US government to adopt permissive stance toward cryptocurrency,’ adds the paper.
Elsewhere, the front page also reports Trump is preparing the U.S. government to adopt a more permissive stance toward cryptocurrency as well as reports speculation who might make it to Trump’s cabinet.
‘Tom Homan will oversee Trump’s mass deportation plans,’ leads USA Today.
USA Today highlights Trump’s choice to oversee the border control. Trump named Tom Homan, a former Border Patrol agent who rose to lead Immigration and Customs Enforcement, his next “border czar” overseeing mass deportations promised during the campaign.
‘Miller named deputy chief of staff for policy,’ reported The Stuart News.
The Stuart News says President-elect Donald Trump has named Stephen Miller as his deputy chief of staff for policy, while adding Tom Homan as “border czar” overseeing deportation policy and aviation security, and Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., as U.N. ambassador.
