Bomb scare aboard Spanish flight sees plane evacuated

The Metro says a Spanish flight was evacuated this morning after a ‘bomb threat on board’.

More than 100 passengers and crew were traveling on the aircraft between Bilbao and the northwestern city of A Coruna.

A spokesperson for the airport has now confirmed the incident has been deemed a ‘false alarm’.

The plane was held on the runway and kept away from the airport to allow investigations to be carried out.
