Tottenham insist Harry Kane is not for sale amid £160m Man City interest
Tottenham says they have no plans to sell Harry Kane this summer, despite rumours a record-breaking £160 million move is close.
Kane has been keen to leave Spurs in order to win trophies and Manchester City has expressed their interest in signing him.
But Tottenham have always said they had no intentions of letting their star player go and their stance has not changed – Kane still has three years left on his existing contract.
Kane has grown frustrated at the club’s slide in recent years and made public comments about his future at the end of the last season – saying he needed conversations with chairman Daniel Levy about his future.
He also named City midfielder Kevin De Brunye as the player he would most like to call a teammate.
But Levy’s position has always remained the same, insisting he would act in the club’s best interests.
Harry Kane is currently on holiday following the Euro 2020 final, where England lost to Italy on penalties.
He is due to return to Hotspur Way for pre-season training on August 2.
