Daily Mirror – Tory: Kids are happier in portacabin classrooms
The Daily Mirror leads on the education secretary’s comments that children are “happier” in portacabin classrooms. The paper reports that a union has criticised the government over what it calls “years of neglect” of schools around the country.
Education Secretary Gillian Keegan said on Tuesday that she met children in one school affected by crumbling concrete and they “actually preferred [being taught in a portacabin] to the classroom”.
The paper points out that it comes as the number of schools hit by the issue grows to 174.
