Metro - Tories in Truss turmoil: The plots thicken

Summary of the front page

Liz Truss is facing “rival rebel plots” to oust her from Downing Street after only five weeks in power, according to Monday’s Metro.

The paper uses images of the Tory MPs tipped to replace the PM – including former leadership rivals Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt, along with a close-up of the PM’s face.

The front page story says the plans are either Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt will replace the PM on a “dream ticket” or Defence Secretary Ben Wallace will do the same – or even the new chancellor Jemery Hunt will snag the top job for himself.
