Tokyo Olympics: Team GB strikes GOLD THREE times, and silver
Diver Tom Daley has finally won gold alongside Matty Lee with a synchronised 10m platform, as Adam Peaty and Tom Pidock were crowned Olympic champions on day three in Tokyo.
Daley and Lee edged out China for victory, 13-years after Daley made his Olympic debut in Bejing.
Swimmer Peaty became the first British swimmer to defend an Olympic title with his victory in the 100m breaststroke.
Less than a half-hour after Daley and Lee won gold, cyclist Pidock added Britain’s third gold, dominating the men’s cross-country mountain biking.
Earlier, Britain’s Alex Yee won a silver medal in the triathlon.
In taekwondo, Lauren Williams is through to the final of the women’s -67kg, guaranteeing herself a media.
A tropical storm is set to hit Tokyo tomorrow, but Olympic organisers say it is not likely to cause much disruption to the Games.
