Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony director Kentaro Kobayashi fired over historical Holocaust joke
The Times says the director of the opening ceremony of the Olympics was fired today over a Holocaust joke he made during a comedy show in 1998.
Kentaro Kobayashi was accused of using the phrase “Let’s play Holocaust” during a comedy act. Footage of his appearing to make jokes about the genocide in the 1990s recently emerged.
