    Tuesday’s front pages report heavily on the 2009 settlement signed by Virginia Guiffre and Jeffrey Epstein that was released yesterday. The secret deal protected the billionaire and anyone connected to him who could be described as a “potential defendant”. The document will be central to a hearing in US this afternoon. 

    There are contrasting tones about the state of the pandemic on many of the front pages

    The Daily Mirror leads with details of a settlement between Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre, which revealed she was paid £370,000 to end her legal claims against him. 

    Prime Minister Boris Johnson has vowed that sticking to his plan is the way out of the COVID-19 pandemic, writes the Daily Express. 

    Online, the Sun reports on Prince Andrew, calling Tuesday:  Andrew’s “D-Day”

    Multiple NHS trusts across England have declared “critical incidents” amid soaring staff absences due to COVID-19, reports The Guardian. 

    The Independent leads with details of a settlement between Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre that Prince Andrew’s lawyers believe will stop him from facing a sex abuse trial. 

    Millions of families face “seismic” energy bill rises this year, with experts predicting the average annual bill of £1,277 could surge 46% to £1,865 when the energy price cap lifts in April, reports the Metro.
