The i leads with Rishi Sunak and the £6bn plan to clear the NHS Covid-19 backlog in his Wednesday Budget.

The Daily Express has more details about Rishi Sunak’s £6bn pledge for the NHS, including at least 100 community diagnostic centres to slash waiting times for clinical tests.

The Times also splashes on the £6bn cash injection for the NHS in Rishi Sunak’s Budget.

The Sun leads with the news that the Queen missed church on Sunday as she rested following a health scare. The sovereign wants to be at her best when she meets world leaders at the COP26 summit next Monday, the paper said.

The Mirror features the photo of Alec Baldwin hugging Halyna Hutchins’ husband, but its main story is on an NHS chief’s call for people to get their COVID-19 booster jabs in order to prevent tougher curbs at Christmas.

The Metro covers the clash between Marcus Rashford and Rishi Sunak after the footballer urged the chancellor to extend the temporary holiday food scheme beyond the Christmas break.

The Guardian reports Rishi Sunak has been accused of creating a “smoke and mirrors” budget by Labour after the chancellor conceded just 20% of his biggest single spending commitment was made up of new money.
