The Guardian reports that scientists are sounding the alarm on a “ferocious” heatwave.
Whilst the Sun says it’s “hotter than the Sahara … and India … and Pakistan … and Algeria and Ethiopia” – calling it “Super scorchio.”

Monday’s papers also lead with last night’s TV debate between the Tory leadership contenders.
The Guardian reports the “bad-tempered” debate exposed deep divisions over economic policy – with cabinet colleagues pitted against each other.
