Today’s news summary – Paper Talk 

Tuesday’s front pages report heavily on the imminent announcement of plans for paying for social care.

The Daily Telegraph and the Guardian expect National Insurance to be increased by about 1.25%. The Daily Mail estimates it’ll cost a ‘typical worker’ £5 per week. While the Daily Express remains supportive and says the PM “should be commended for tacking this urgent matter.” 

A new Covid lockdown could be announced next month if cases threaten to overwhelm the NHS – according to the i newspaper.
