Three dead and 15 injured in Shanghai Walmart stabbing
A violent stabbing spree at a Walmart supermarket in Shanghai on Monday night left three people dead and 15 others injured. The attack occurred in the Songjiang district.
Authorities have apprehended a 37-year-old suspect, identified only by his surname Lin, he reportedly came to Shanghai to “vent his anger due to a personal economic dispute”. The investigation is ongoing.
The three victims succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, while the remaining injured individuals are reported to have non-life-threatening wounds.
