From making a cup of tea, to having a shower, there are some things in life you assume should be straight forward.

But TikTok is here to tell you otherwise. Pringle lovers, it’s your turn to feel attacked.

A home cook who posts on TikTok under the name @cookinghungry has said you’ve been munching on your favourite crisps all wrong.

In a viral video, he explained that most people eat Pringles the same way they are placed into the tube, simply lifting them out and biting into them.

However, they claim that you’re actually meant to flip the crisp over so that the top side is on your tongue, as the flavouring is mostly on the top, meaning they’ll taste even better this way.

The TikToker explains: ‘If you rub a Pringle you can actually feel all the seasoning on this side.’

In the comments several people admitted they never knew about this with one person outraged that Pringles aren’t placed the right way up in the tubes if this is the case.

Over on Twitter, people have been sharing the way they eat Pringles, and it’s proved very divisive. One person went straight to the source, asking: ‘Hey @Pringles_UK is there a correct way to eat Pringles? I have always opted for seasoned side first, my wife does the opposite and can’t fathom my method, please help.’

While someone else said was more preoccupied with whether people ‘shove’ Pringles into their mouth, or bite into them first.

According to Pringles.com there’s ‘no wrong way’ to eat them. However, they do go on to say that there’s a ‘best’ way..

The website states: ‘There’s no wrong way to eat Pringles! However, some people claim that the best way to eat them is with the “top” of the chip (the side facing the lid of the can) facing down. Pringles typically have more seasoning on the top of the crisps than the bottom, so this way you get the most intense flavour experience.’

So there you have it folks! To really get the most out of the flavour, you can turn your Pringles upside down when eating.
