On February 1 2021 a coup in Myanmar began when the country’s military removed democratically elected members of National League for Democracy party and then vested power in a stratocracy.

Harry and Meghan quit for good
On the 19th February 2021 Prince Harry and Meghan confirmed they will not return as working members of the Royal Family. They had quit Royal life in favour of Hollywood a year earlier following intense media bullying. Harry and Meghan now live in California with their two young children Archie and Lili.

US rejoins Paris Agreement
On January 20, on his first day in office, President Biden signed the instrument to bring the United States back into the Paris Agreement. By 19 February the USA was officially back in the Paris Agreement.

US Covid death toll skyrockets
The US coronavirus death toll surpassed 500,000, representing the highest death toll of any country in the world. He also referenced one of the contributors to the massive death toll, warning, “We must end the politics of misinformation.” Dr Anthony Fauci said in an interview that political divisions had contributed significantly to the “stunning” US Covid-19 death toll, and that half a million deaths “should not have happened” in “a rich and sophisticated country”.
