The Traitors fans have branded Ross the BBC show’s new ‘camp icon’ after his ‘iconic behaviour’ for breaking the fourth wall.
There have even been calls for Ross to win a plethora of TV awards, including a Bafta, for his wink-and-you-‘ll-miss-it moment on tonight’s (Thursday January 18) episode.
It happened – and subsequently left viewers ‘howling’ – when Paul, Charlotte and Jaz reflected on the brutal ‘murder’ of Ross’ secret mother Diane, which left the nation in mourning, the previous evening.
‘I love her. She was like my mum,’ Jaz grieved.
‘No she was my mum,’ Paul joked after Zach wrongly assumed he was Diane’s son owing to their red locks.
Jumping in, Ross joked: ‘No she was my mum first. Stop it.’
And then, in legendary behaviour, Ross turned to the camera and winked.

The wink is already going down in The Traitors history, with fans flocking to X to fawn over Ross.
One viewer, Harrison Brocklehurst, even remarked that Ross had now become ‘the sexiest man on earth.’
‘Ross: “No Diane was my mum first!” *winks* – I am howling. What a man,’ Tom crossed added.
Adam Khan, meanwhile, demanded: ‘HE WINKED AT THE CAMERA!! ROSS STRAIGHT UP WINKED AT THE CAMERA!!! GET HIM TO THE FINAL TOO!’
While it’s not clear exactly when the cast will find out the truth about Diane and Ross, she told Metro.co.uk they were ‘shocked to the core’ by the news.
‘I can’t say how it was revealed because that could have been happening through WhatsApp or in the castle, you have to find out.

‘But I will say that when they found out they were absolutely shocked to the core.
‘It became even more important than finding Traitors almost. It was mental!’
Playing coy about whether she shares links to anyone else on the show, she joked: ‘Absolutely… I’m not going to tell you!’
