I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Tulisa Contostavlos was ‘horrified’ and needed to be seen by medics during her Bushtucker Trial.
The former X Factor judge and N-Dubz singer, 36, is currently appearing on the ITV reality series.
Although BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough was voted to undertake many of the first trials, earlier this week it was Tulisa’s turn.
She was tasked with taking on Shock Around the Clock, which saw her being rotated around a clock face while being asked questions and was then joined by an assortment of creepy crawlies.
Despite her best efforts she struggled to answer the questions correctly and ended only managing to secure five of the 12 stars available.
However, it’s now been revealed a skin-crawling moment was cut from the episode.
During the trial Tulisa needed to be seen by the medical team mid-way through after believing one of the bugs got stuck in her ear.
‘The show was jam-packed full of drama and only an hour long so not everything made the final cut – but mid-way through the trial the show medics rushed in to help,’ a source told The Sun.
‘Tulisa was convinced something was in her ear – she wasn’t sure if it was a cockroach, cricket or fly – and had to have a syringe wash.
‘She carried on after that, but she was horrified.’
During the trial Tulisa screamed: ‘Just get it over with!’
However, after struggling with her general knowledge, Tulisa was disappointed with the final result.
‘When I was in there my brain just wouldn’t function, it just went blank, I was just trying to survive,’ she said.
Ahead of appearing on the show Tulisa admitted she was ‘scared of a lot of stuff’.
‘I feel really adventurous this year and the place I am now in, I want to do things that take me out of my comfort zone,’ she said.
‘I have always said I wouldn’t do this show in the past, as there are things that have terrified me.
‘But the person I am now, I want to throw caution to the wind.’
