The Daily Mirror leads on the COVID Inquiry and claims that Matt Hancock wanted to sideline doctors and decide who would live if hospitals became swamped during the pandemic.
The claims made about Hancock were made by Sir Simon Stevens at the Covid inquiry. The former NHS England chief said that former health secretary Matt Hancock wanted to decide “who should live and die” if the NHS was overwhelmed during Covid and added: “Fortunately this horrible dilemma never crystallised.”
