A teenage boy allegedly strangled his ex-girlfriend during a trip celebrating their graduation from high school.
Blake Linkous, 18, was arrested after his former lover, Natalie Martin, 18, was discovered unresponsive in her hotel room in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, WMBF reported.
Emergency responders at the hotel on Maison Drive on June 7 pronounced Martin dead at the scene. She was identified as being from Roseville, Ohio.
‘Suspicious circumstanced were detected’, stated the Horry County Police Department’s criminal investigations detail.
Witness statements led investigators to believe that Linkous manually strangled Martin to death, according to an arrest warrant obtained by WMBF.
Linkous, of Blue Rock, Ohio, was arrested on Thursday and charged with murder. He is being held without bond.
Martin and Linkous were classmates at Philo High School and dated for several years, Martin’s friend Brooklyn Ferrell told The Sun News.
