A teacher has been suspended over allegations they punched a 10-year-old school boy.

The member of staff at Christ the King RC Primary School is now under investigation, it has been confirmed.

On Tuesday, a woman posted a video on X of a parent speaking with a teacher outside the school in north London.

In the footage shared online a man and a woman can be seen confronting an unnamed teacher at the school gates, and pressed her on the accusations.

In the minute-long clip, the woman can be seen getting more and more irate at the staff member as she stumbles across her words.

She said: ‘I can’t believe I’m writing these words. My 10-year-old nephew was punched multiple times by his teacher… at Christ The King School in Islington.

‘The 10-year-old had to go to A&E immediately after reporting severe pains across his chest and back areas.’

James Potts, chair of governors said: ‘An allegation was made about an incident at the school in November.
