U.S. Vice President JD Vance has announced plans to accompany his wife, Usha Vance, on a trip to Greenland this Friday. The visit, initially intended for Usha to attend Greenland’s national dogsled race and explore cultural sites, has been refocused to include both the Vice President and Second Lady visiting the U.S. Space Force’s Pituffik Space Base to assess Arctic security concerns.

Wednesday’s newspapers continue its coverage of the ongoing fallout between the US and Ukraine and the straining relationship between the US and its allies.

JD Vance is slammed across many of the newspapers due to his comments that Britain is some ‘random country that hasn’t fought in a war in 30 or 40 years’ – despite Britain having fought alongside America in their Middle Eastern oil wars. The tabloids call the American vice president a clown.

Elsewhere, the tabloids pull apart Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show, and there’s coverage of football pundit Jermaine Jenas’s announcement that his marriage has ended, following his cheating scandal.

Most of the back pages report on Arsenal’s 7-1 win over PSV in last night’s Champions League match. Fellow English club Aston Villa also won.

Tuesday’s newspapers mark a shift in coverage as most broadsheets cover the latest from the US presidential race – with a little UK politics on the front page.

The tabloids lead to the discovery of a body in the Jay Slater case. Though not formally identified it is believed the body is that of the missing 19-year-old Brit, with early theories being that he slipped into a ravine and died. The papers note that rescue workers had to use a helicopter to reach the ravine and it’s believed specialists found Slater’s possessions.

A handful of the front pages leave space to assess the England football team and whether Gareth Southgate will be replaced. The speculation around Southgate’s future dominates the back pages.
