Sun Sport – Strike the right Toney
The back page of the Sun newspaper leads on Gareth Southgate’s comments on England striker Ivan Toney. He is set to start against Belgium in the upcoming friendly.
You don’t get hundreds of opportunities’ warns Southgate as Ivan Toney gets chance to gatecrash England’s Euros party
IVAN TONEY will get the chance to gatecrash England’s Euro 2024 squad on Tuesday.
The Brentford striker, who returned from an eight-month betting ban in January, will start against Belgium at Wembley as Harry Kane has returned to Bayern Munich with an injury.
Asked if it is a big chance for Toney, Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate said: “You can’t hide that fact. He knows. It would be his first start so you’ve got to bear that in mind.
“With England, that’s the landscape — you don’t get hundreds of opportunities.
“I think every player recognises that’s the world we live in.”

Man Utd dealt new injury blow as Harry Maguire LEAVES England camp after being sent for a scan after Brazil defeat
HARRY MAGUIRE has dealt Manchester United another injury scare after leaving the England camp.
Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker has also departed after hobbling off against Brazil on Saturday.
Sam Johnstone also withdrew from the squad with an injury so James Trafford and Rico Lewis have been promoted from the Under-21s to link up with the seniors at Tottenham’s training ground.
Maguire was withdrawn midway through the second half of England’s 1-0 defeat to Brazil yesterday and had a scan today.
Gareth Southgate took off Maguire, alongside Ben Chilwell, in what was thought to be a planned substitution.
The former Leicester team-mates were replaced by Lewis Dunk and Joe Gomez at Wembley.

Lauryn Goodman blasts Kyle Walker for ‘wheeling out kids’ at Wembley & says star ‘will be overweight bald nobody soon’
ENGLAND captain Kyle Walker’s former mistress blasted him after the three sons he has with his wife appeared at the Brazil match as mascots.
Reality TV star Lauryn Goodman – who has a son and daughter with him – claimed he was using the children as ammunition in the bitter fall-out between them.
A source close to Lauryn, 32, said: “It’s a shame to see children wheeled out as part of a row between adults and his many infidelities.
“Lauryn couldn’t be less bothered and says he will be an overweight bald nobody soon.”
Proud Kyle, 33, walked out at Wembley with Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, and Reign, five.
But he later limped off with a suspected hamstring injury.
