Strictly feud ‘revealed’ ahead of finale as star is snubbed on social media

Nigel Harman has decided not to follow his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars on social media, and they’ve returned the ‘snub.’

An important milestone in many friendships happens when you each hit the follow button on Instagram. Some of the Strictly cast haven’t taken this step forward just yet.

51-year-old actor Nigel only follows 13 accounts in total, which could explain why he hasn’t made the move.

Instead of checking out what holidays celebrities are enjoying, or what his school friends are up to these days, Nigel has a focused following list of professors and inspirational speakers. Although, the official account for the BBC series has made the cut. What a flex for the Strictly social media team.

Not even partner Katya Jones has been treated to a follow despite the close bond they formed on the series before his early exit. However, the professional dancer hasn’t reciprocated and has instead upped his follow count by one.

None of the finalists Bobby Brazier, Ellie Leach and Layton Williams or their partners Dianne Buswell, and Vito Coppola have taken their relationship onto Instagram.

Nikita Kuzmin is the exception and will be keeping up with Nigel as one of his 87.3k followers.

Nikita will mainly get to enjoy Nigel’s meditation exercise videos, which is his most regular type of post, so his username ‘The Meditating Actor’ makes perfect sense.

Nigel and Katya were set to perform the Charleston in the quarter-finals but instead had to withdraw from the competition on medical grounds, giving the other four couples an automatic pass to the semi-finals.

At the time, Nigel explained he had suffered a major injury to his rib after ‘leaping’ during a practice routine where he was ‘supposed to be caught by handsome men.’

He reassured fans that he’s doing much better on the final episode of It Takes Two.

‘It’s progressing well. I’m a bit achy. I have about another month of recovery, but aside from that, I’m fine,’ he stated.

While Nigel is unable to dance in the cast of 2023 routine this evening he is still pleased to be at Elstree Studios.

‘It’s genuinely heartwarming to be back, to see our friends, and not to be dancing but just having a good time.’

The Strictly Come Dancing final airs tonight at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
