‘Erling Haaland rescues Man City as cruel slip leaves Arsenal and Liverpool fans gutted’
Erling Haaland rescued Manchester City to keep their Premier League title hopes alive and leave rival fans gutted.
The Norwegian striker made amends for his horror display against Chelsea on the weekend by winning the match against Brentford. City dominated the visiting Bees on Tuesday night but had to wait until the 71st minute for their breakthrough.
Haaland broke away with blistering pace on the counter and scored his 17th league goal of the season. He was helped hugely by an unfortunate slip by Kristoffer Ajer, who was the last man in Brentford’s line of defence.

‘Thomas Tuchel to leave Bayern Munich – but will stay put until the summer’
Thomas Tuchel and Bayern Munich have decided to part ways at the end of the 2023/24 season.
It follows a dreadful run of form for Bayern as they suffered three straight defeats in crucial games. Tuchel’s side have seen their hopes of defending their Bundesliga crown crumble in recent weeks after humiliating losses to title rivals Bayer Leverkusen and mid-table Vfl Bochum.
They are also on the cusp of an early Champions League exit following a 1-0 defeat to Lazio in last Wednesday’s last-16 clash away from home. Bild initially reported the Bayern hierarchy have decided it’s time for a change in the dugout, just a year after the German’s appointment.
