Chairman Daniel Levy and managing director Fabio Paratici held talks with the Italian on Monday following Nuno Espirito Santo’s sacking after four months in charge.
While an agreement is yet to be signed, no issues remain and Conte, 52, is expected to take training later.
It is understood he will sign a contract until June 2023.
