The Metro: Russia has warned that tests of Satan-2 nuclear missiles are imminent amid deep tension with the West.

Vladimir Putin’s space chief Dmitry Rogozin can be seen in newly released photos inspecting the giant weapon – the size of a 14-storey tower block – as it was transported into the forest.

The new generation 200-ton rocket is said to be capable of delivering up to 15 warheads to any target on the planet at almost 16,000mph. It is capable of reaching the UK in three minutes.

Rogozin said: ‘The world’s most powerful global-range nuclear-tipped missile is being prepared for new tests and serial production.’
