Sam Asghari has revealed his weight transformation in the wake of his split from Britney Spears.
The former personal trainer filed for divorce from the Toxic singer in August, bringing their marriage to a shock end just 14 months after they walked down the aisle.
The 29-year-old has kept a low profile following their separation, but shared that he has been working hard on himself.
‘In the past five months I’ve had a little transformation which was losing about a good 35 – 40lbs,’ he told PageSix.
‘Sometimes when you are in a situation that you don’t get to necessarily focus on yourself, it could be challenging for you to notice [your physique changes] but everybody else does.’
The budding actor explained that his ‘spiritual and energy’ changed recently, giving him ‘more time’ to focus on himself.
But he insisted that his transformation isn’t a ‘revenge body’, but instead all about ‘self-love’.
Despite the new look, Sam vowed that he isn’t even thinking of his love life at the moment, and is enjoying the solitude.
‘Being by yourself and alone is a really good opportunity to focus on yourself,’ he added. ‘I’m focusing on work at the moment.

‘I definitely won’t be joining any dating apps any time soon. That’s for sure.’
Sam made headlines earlier this year when he confirmed that he had submitted paperwork to end his relationship to Britney, just a year after they tied the knot.

‘After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,’ he wrote said in a statement. ‘We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.’
‘Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.’
Following their breakup, Sam dove straight into work on an upcoming scripted show, which is focused on ‘giving back’.

‘It’s in the works,’ he previously told E! News, remaining coy on the exact details. ‘It’s about helping people.
‘I was helped by a lot of people, and that’s something that, in my heart, it touches me dearly, so I want to be able to give back by helping others as well.
‘We’re going to work on amazing things in the future.’
